Cubs; WGN 9; 7:05 PM; vs. Nationals; Redding, 0-0, -.-- ERA, vs. Zambrano, 9-6, 4.20 ERA
Finally Ted Lilly had a quality start, and a win on the same day. I was tired of seeing the Cubs win through Ted's struggling pitching. I wanted to see them win with Ted's good pitching. Well, wish granted. Ted went 7, gave up 1, and had 7 runs in support. Like I said, the offense is just clicking with the pitching now.
Billy Petrick also made an appearance. He went 1 inning, no runs, no hits, no walks. It looks to me, though, that he is only here due to Rocky Cherry's installment on the 15 day DL. Well Cubs' lovers, vote for Zambrano for the ASG, I hope you do, and those are the starters for tomorrows game.
Thanks,
Ryan
